Gotham City Teasers V

Inky Black:

Gordon stood up, and walked towards the window. Out there, in the inky blackness of Gotham's night, there were organized crime hitmen, corrupt GBI agents, Gotham Police officers – all looking for one man, all looking to collect a reward for finding him. Word on the street was that there would be no investigation into his death, and that no one would do time for killing him – Falcone would see to that.

Vasilissa the Beauty (Part 1 of 12):

"By the way, Bruce," Fox continued.

"Yes?"

"If you don't mind my asking... just who is it that you think is going to be chasing you?"

The figure paused, and made eye contact with Fox, before turning away, his answer quietly drifting in the air. "Everybody."

Die Another Day, Part 2:

"Are you planning to reprogram the criminal conspiracy, then, so you can win?"

Casting a glance at Alfred, Wayne responded, "I just think some of Batman's capabilities exceed some people's expectations."

The Demon, Part 5 of 5:

Looking at Bruce Wayne, the master commented, "Some people run from their demons so far, so fast, and for so long, that they become demons themselves."

Rocking Boats:

Her hand couldn't quite find the file on the pavement at her feet. For a moment, she took her eyes off the phantom and looked at the envelope. In an instant she had it and was looking up again -- but the Dark Knight had disappeared back into the darkness of the earliest part of the morning.

The Counterconspiracy: Up in Flames:

Looking up, her eyes closed, the fortune-teller answered slowly.

"The outcome will be as it was decided anciently: in defense of justice, the warrior will work magic, and he will execute the punishments ordained by Heaven."

The Counterconspiracy: "Vigilante" Part 2:

"I think Batman is painting a picture for us... I think he's showing us what this 'War on Crime' is really about. There's a trail that begins with Aladdin and the heroin he produces to fund his crime spree, and that trail leads through all the vices of Gotham City – guns, drugs, prostitutes – and it leads through Gotham's political and business elites, who themselves are dipped in smut and vice and the money that comes with it... it's a trail that leads from Aladdin on one end – " and here Inspector Gordon lowered his eyes, and looked right into the mayor's eyes " – and right through city hall to this office on the other end. It's a trail that leads to you and to the men running in this election cycle, one of whom hopes to take your place in January."

The Counterconspiracy: Witness:

"And where is Master Bruce?" Alfred inquired.

"He said he had one more stop to make tonight."

The Detective (Touch the Sun) Part 1 of 12:

"Fear has a name," he added slowly, almost whispering now, quietly enunciating every word, "and its name... is 'Batman'."

From The Dark Knight, Part 5 of 5:

Now I will have to go over it again to decode the message.

    Gotham City Teasers IV

    The Counterconspiracy: Marked with Blood:

Leaning forward toward Wayne, Nygma added, "In the pool full of sharks that is Gotham's financial world, the mayor's team marked their victims with blood."

    The Counterconspiracy: Up in Flames:

"Here it is, Bruce. Now, pay attention, because it has a few new upgrades."

Attack by Fire: The Pale Horse:

On the table, she placed the Magician and Fire....

"There he works magic; using the eternal flame, he torments the devils," the fortune-teller explained, opening her eyes.

    The Counterconspiracy: Witness:

"At that point, a large figure dressed in flowing black crashed down through the skylight, landing behind the assailants," the officer explained, referring to his notes, and proceeding rather matter-of-factly.

    "Batman," O'Hara said quietly.

The Dark Knight, Part 4 of 5:

"It incorporates a great deal of stealth technology."

"How does that work?" Sasha asked, looking at the Batmobile.

Mirror, Mirror (Part 8 of 8):

"The official story is that two girls escaped from the ring's custody, ran to the village, told the police, and the lieutenant went out with three or four truckloads of police and arrested everyone." The master looked around. "Unofficially, however, there are some details that seem to have been left out of the story."

Attack by Fire: The Pale Horse:

Sasha winced. At a range of less than five meters from Falcone's men, the Batmobile's flamethrower was being discharged.

The Dark Knight, Part 2 of 5:

In Polygon Delta, three large, armed men stood ready, as the giant figure approached them. Facing the referee, they bowed to him, then the three men and the giant figure exchanged quick bows. The referee stepped between them, raising his right hand. "Ready," he lowered his right hand and stepped back quickly as he said "Fight!"

The Dark Knight, Part 3 of 5

"He taught me things that transcend the mechanics of fighting."

The Detective (Touch the Sun) Part 12 of 12:

"If this indeed has happened, Talia," he thoughtfully said, "then your friend, Bruce Wayne, is the most dangerous man on earth."

    The Counterconspiracy: Heavenly Fury:

"Mr. Wayne, Mr. Fox. I am Special Agent DiViglio of the Gotham Bureau of Investigation. This is my partner, Special Agent Kyle."

"How do you do?" Wayne smiled. "This is the head of my corporate legal department...."

    The Warrior, Part 2:

"You can battle the Mujahideen," Alfred began, "perhaps even corruption in the mayor's office, but if you battle corrupt elements in the GBI, you will be labeled as 'with the criminals'. Those corrupt elements are, after all, the GBI, and the GBI always gets its man!" Alfred looked at Wayne. "If you battle them, the price could be all of this," Alfred pointed around the Batcave.

"If I don't try to defend Gotham, the price will be my soul."

The Dark Knight, Part 5 of 5:

Sasha was now fully suited up in her body armor, armed with a variety of weapons, including small grenades which were remarkably similar to the Batbombs she had seen down below, in the Batcave.

Her orders were to prevent anyone from moving from the Batcave up into Wayne Manor, and, if it became necessary, to coordinate with Alfred a counterattack to retake the Batcave, should it fall into enemy hands.

The Detective (Touch the Sun) Part 10 of 12:

"Gotham Bureau of Investigation," a voice announced in that same instant from behind, loudly, and with authority. "Nobody move!"

"All right," the phantom quietly said to himself, "now I'm worried."

The Detective (Touch the Sun) Part 2 of 12:

    "How did you escape?"

    "Alive."

    Thanksgiving:

"No," Sasha answered quietly, "the analysis was that the Batsuit did its job against the submachinegun that the female had. It was the military-grade weapon in the hands of the sniper behind him that did it. The computer analysis shows that this was the lethal shot."

    The Warrior, Part 3:

The boss turned back from the window, and looked around at the people in the room, making eye contact with everyone. Then, he slowly looked upward and thoughtfully stared at the ceiling.

"I have given a name to my problems," he announced with great deliberation, "and it is 'Batman'."

    Gotham City Teasers III

Mirror, Mirror (Part 4 or 8):

The Ancient spoke some more, then the master continued translating. "You have a good heart, a heart of light, but it is wrapped in a dark, armored package. Today you will meet your opposite."

    Autumn Rain:

The card inside had a picture of a cat which was attentively, even menacingly, staring at a hole in a wall, presumably the home of a mouse.

The smile had disappeared from her face as she began to realize this was not some kind of note from Bruce Wayne, but was instead something far more sinister.

She picked up the card again and reread the verse:

Blue is the water by which comes the green.
Tall is the lady; she's Gotham's queen.
Under her eyes, the Roman commands,
Fueling the vices of his empire's lands.
    For wont of their vices they give freedom away;
High is the price for their habits they pay.
See the green lady, she is a slave,
See her blue knights, they are but knaves.
    Powerful is the Roman, this land he does rule;
King takes queen on a knight for a fool.

Suddenly, Sandra felt very much like a mouse.

Attack by Fire: The Pale Horse:

The fortune-teller opened her eyes, looked at the cards, then looked at the master.

"He has descended into the lower parts of the earth. There, he is surrounded by devils."

    Meow!:

    It was another riddle!

Detectives listened to an illegal bug,
But didn't report the criminal plan.
Crime covers up crime, swept under the rug,
All merely for wont of an honest man.
The truth is hidden by towers of lies,
But the crime of the towers is exposed in riddles.
What really happened is quite a surprise!
Dirty cops, a deal with the devil... the man in the middle.

He looked again in the direction of the door, but the reddish-haired woman was long gone.

    Belladonna:

She was assigned to work with an employee who himself had just started at Wayne Enterprises, a thirty-ish looking man named Edward Nygma. He seemed every bit as boring as this work that she needed.

Mirror, Mirror (Part 5 of 8):

Wayne looked at her. He wondered if it was just by accident that Talia rode up beside him.

"And who is Ra's al Ghul?"

"A man who has mastered himself."

Mirror, Mirror (Part 6 of 8):

"Look around you, Bruce. They're not winning this 'War on Crime', and they're not going to win it! The mayor and vice mayor have both said so, their senior staff tell us this every day -- it won't end anytime soon. And no wonder! While they are racking up arrest records bringing in common street thugs, no one is going after the real brains, the real decisionmakers, the real masterminds of the Mujahideen -- no one is going after Aladdin! Key players in the arena, key politicians and key businessmen, don't want the 'War on Crime' to be won, they just want it to be fought. It's a vote-getter and a money-maker."

The Detective (Touch the Sun) Part 10 of 12:

"Looking for someone?" a low, raspy whisper broke the silence.

The smaller figure whirled around, startled, but just as quickly recovered her composure.

"Difficult it is to sneak up on a cat," she purred. "Harder still to surprise a bat!"

    Die Another Day, Part 1:

"Batman's intervention in the situation led to an absolute disaster – only a tremendous amount of revision of the story could lead someone to think otherwise."

Alfred looked at Wayne through his bifocals.

"The situation was resolved with a minimal amount of violence, Alfred," Wayne answered, looking back down at the Batcomputer.

"The use of fuel-air explosives in a hostage environment can hardly be considered a minimal amount of violence, sir," Alfred responded. "Three quarters of the hostages died, and the criminals who were holding them escaped."

The Demon, Part 5 of 5:

"What you offer is only more of the same – more pain, more suffering, more injustice, more revenge. By becoming judge, jury and executioner, you have become nothing more than a fool!"

    The Counterconspiracy: "Vigilante" Part 2:

"Batman killed over two dozen people. Another dozen or so remain hospitalized. Some of them may still die. The remainder will be horribly scarred and disfigured for the rest of their lives," Bruce Wayne said quietly.

    Meow!:

"What's the matter?" teased Vicki. "Cat got your tongue?"

    The Counterconspiracy: Witness:

"It's called a 'Batsignal'," Vasilissa smiled. "Press the green button for a routine meeting; press the red button if you are in immediate, life-threatening danger. Once the button is pressed, Batman is summoned, and there is no way to cancel the meeting," she explained.

Mirror, Mirror (Part 4 or 8):

Returning to the present, Wayne looked away from the mirror and looked at his companion.

"Have you ever done that before, Dr. Villanova?" Wayne asked. "Kill someone, that is?"

    The Counterconspiracy: Witness:

"'Pivoted?'" O'Hara repeated, looking at the alleyway; there was not enough room for a vehicle to turn around behind the restaurant.

"As in 'on a dime', Detective – those were the exact words of one witness."

    Rocking Boats:

"Gotham Bureau of Investigation," the Dark Knight's voice was the kind of whisper that got someone's attention. "But those two agents are dirty." She studied him, as he continued. "And you're rocking their boat."

"How did you know?" she asked.

The Demon, Part 5 of 5:

"Yes, he's a hero, but more than anything else, Batman is a detective. And he's a very good one. When he pieces enough of this together, and gets the information into the hands of the right people, this whole plan will fall apart."

    The Warrior, Part 3:

"The Knights of the Round Table wore shining armor, but you shall be a dark knight and your armor shall be dark; you shall be a creature of the shadows and of the night. Your heart will be pure, and your works will be good, yet your existence and your reputation will strike terror in the hearts of those who do evil, and it is through this terror that you shall be victorious."

    Inky Black:

"Is it fair to condemn Alfred? He should be living out the remaining years of his life in peace." The master gazed off into the distance. "They will come after him, you know. Even if he goes away, they will hunt him down, because he is important to you." The master looked back at Wayne. "That is how it works. You go after what is important to them, they come after what is important to you."

Bruce Wayne stood on the brink of his destiny, peering into his future. It was an inky blackness, where he could clearly discern nothing except the worst of his fears.

"What do you suggest?" he quietly asked.

Vasilissa the Beauty (Part 1 of 12):

"Remember, Bruce, if they can't see you, they don't know you're there," Lucius Fox had been explaining the first time the figure saw the vehicle.

    "That's the idea."

The Detective (Touch the Sun) Part 2 of 12:

"I didn't mean to startle you." The voice was a low, raspy whisper. It was the kind of voice that got someone's attention.

Vasilissa the Beauty (Part 10 of 12):

Unnerved now, she struggled to maintain her composure.

Suddenly a popping sound could be heard, and some startled shrieks in the background, as electrical circuits short-circuited and several lights went out. The tall, dark figure did not so much as flinch.

    "Like I said, technical difficulties."

    Maybe this wasn't a set-up.

    "Who are you?"

    "I'm Batman."

    The Counterconspiracy: Witness:

"If Batman was here fighting the assailants, who was driving the Batmobile?" O'Hara interrupted.

"It appeared to be empty. Witnesses later got a look inside it, and there appeared to have been nobody inside until Batman got in the vehicle with one of the victims."

    Autumn Rain:

"Where is he? I know he's nowhere in Wayne Manor," she answered. Alfred had grown fond of her accent.

"It is his way, Sasha," Alfred reassured her. "He is well. Try not to worry."

Attack by Fire: The Pale Horse:

Somebody next to him pointed at a dark vehicle between the warehouse and the utility building.

    "It's Batman!" the man yelled.

    Gotham City Teasers I

The Dark Knight, Part 1 of 5:

"This time, it started out as my parents that were falling, but suddenly... suddenly, it was these two tall buildings. They were tall, squarish, two nearly-identical buildings, and the smoke, instead of being the smoke from a revolver, was the smoke from a fire in these buildings. Then one fell, hitting the pavement below, then the other fell."

The Detective (Touch the Sun) Part 1 of 12:

"Tonight, I looked Fear in the eyes," he explained, drinking about half his Scotch. "Fear dresses in black," he said, "and it has a bloody face."

Mirror, Mirror (Part 4 of 8):

"They were taking young women off the streets, gang-raping them to break down their resistance, and getting them addicted to drugs, which they then supplied. All of this to force them into a life of prostitution, dependent on the pimps." She paused, a note of anger in her voice.

    The Counterconspiracy: Heavenly Fury:

    "So what's that?"

Inspector Gordon looked at the evidence bag being held up by the narcotics lieutenant.

    "Cigarettes laced with heroin."

The Demon, Part 2 of 5:

"Bruce, you're a prisoner of your past," she began, not sure how to proceed. "In six months, it will be a new millennium. You need to put it behind you."

    "What? My parents' death?"

"Your fixation on the man who killed them." She slowed for a stop light. "He's in prison, Bruce."

The Demon, Part 3 of 5:

"That both you and Master Bruce are still quite young, and it would be a shame for either of you to allow impatience or frustration to rule you." Alfred sipped his tea. "Impatience and frustration are two demons, closely related; allow neither to drive your actions."

Attack by Fire: Three in the Morning:

He smiled. "The prison bars, the prison walls – it's all an illusion. You can walk away any time you want to."

She thought about that, then looked at him. "And what about the prison you are in? Is that an illusion, too?"

The Dark Knight, Part 3 of 5:

"No, hiding is for children. I mean he disappeared, right before their eyes."

    Captivated, Sasha's mouth opened.

"As in 'Now you see him, now you don't,'" Wayne explained.

The Detective (Touch the Sun) Part 10 of 12:

"The city you love is in danger." It was a different voice, coming from Bruce Wayne's right.

He looked, and saw Gotham City. It was a beautiful morning, the beginning of a work day, and the sky over Gotham was clean and clear, a deep blue. The day was warm and pleasant.

    The Interview:

"Laundering money for organized crime..." Nygma continued, as Wayne looked back out the window, "...by the billions," Nygma whispered.

The Detective (Touch the Sun) Part 10 of 12:

"The danger is not past, Bruce," his mother's voice answered.

The Detective (Touch the Sun) Part 12 of 12:

But Ra's al Ghul knew something more; he knew that it would not end with the destruction of the Gotham Towers.

    The Eagle and the Butterfly:

"To murder a man and to destroy an entire village are both crimes, but, as terrible as the one is, it pales in significance when compared to the other."

Late at Night in the Batcave:

"You think this new crime syndicate, the Mujahideen, have nuclear weapons, don't you, sir?" It wasn't a question. "You think they have them here in Gotham."

The Detective (Touch the Sun) Part 12 of 12:

"And when they do not heed this latest warning? What then? Yet another?"

"Patience," he repeated. "When the time is right, the people of Gotham City will come face-to-face with the power that makes the stars shine in the night sky."

With great care, the bearded figure picked up a book and raised his eyes toward heaven. "When the time is right, Gotham City will touch the sun."

    The Warrior, Part 3:

"It says: 'In a world darkened by the overcast of evil, one man will emerge, a warrior, and in defense of justice, he will work magic.'"

    Happy Rosh Hashanah

As Ramadan comes to an end in the Islamic World, I would like to wish a Happy Rosh Hashanah to those who celebrate the Jewish New Year.

    --------

While you're out and about in cyberspace today, may I suggest you check out the following blogs:

Stilettos in the Sand is written by an American expat living in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Sabra has a variety of articles on her daily life and miscellaneous subjects. If you are interested in the humor in daily life, this is a good place to find it; it also gives you a glimpse at life for a foreigner in the Sandbox; and, it is a nice break from the ideology, politics and corruption that I write about. :)

Red.eVolution is a relatively new blog, blogging in the counterjihad and for Israel. You may wish to see yesterday's post, related to content I write about often, entitled Kosovo nine years later, and the KLA's legacy.

The Xeriscapist is another relatively new -- and somewhat occasional -- counterjihad blog, but with some promise.

The Faithful Remnant offers some political insights from a Christian perspective.

Newcomer to the blogosphere Claudia offers us Blogging for a Free World, just started so far this September, but with an apparent great deal of enthusiasm.

If you are new to the counterjihad, you may find Great Satan's Girlfriend (GSGF) humorously inspiring, and The Gates of Vienna (GOV) always has well-researched and insightful articles.

Please note that I am not endorsing all the things said at these blogs, merely suggesting you have a look.

Stay tuned to Stop Islamic Conquest as several series continue, including the latest installments in the Gotham City series (see bottom of sidebar), under the title Attack by Fire.

    Enjoy!

    The Basics

At a Muslim blog, I found a post entitled In Friendswood, TX, Islam 101 is less than welcome; it is quite amusing.

Apparently, there was an alleged hate crime against a Muslim student, followed by an assembly where CAIR came in and taught students about Islam.

Parents were somewhat concerned about this, to put it mildly.

The blog post addresses this polemic, with the following near the end:

When Christian students are on no-fly lists, when Christianity is reviled as a scourge of evil on the planet, and when the number of hate crimes against Christians is on the rise, an assembly about the basics of Christianity may well be in order.

May we then start booking such assemblies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, and in certain minority neighborhoods throughout Sweden, France, the UK and elsewhere in Western Europe?

Of course, the implication is that Muslim students are on no-fly lists, Islam is reviled as a scourge of evil on the planet, etc.

Assuming that to be true, may I ask how it came about?

    Wanted for Treason

USpace has a most interesting blog, entitled Hard to Swallow. In it, USpace offers:

"Mostly absurd thoughts about the God of the Universe in loose Senryu and Tanka poetry. Food for thought and discussion. Brief comments on religious extremism, totalitarianism, racism, sexism and other Earthly bullsh*t. Sarcasm will NEVER be used!"

USpace stopped in at a recent post of mine and announced:

I hope you are well. I wanted to say hello and let you know that I recently self-published my first 'Hard To Swallow - Absurd Thoughts About God' book through Lulu Publishing. It was quite easy to use and totally FREE too. Thank you very much for visiting my blog and for linking to me, it has been a huge inspiration.

I plan to eventually give a copy of the hardcover book to most of my off line friends; conservatives, moderates, and liberals. I think the brevity of the 'absurd thoughts' will be a good way to help them to think about many of today's big issues.

Please download the FREE eBook(s), I'd love to hear what you think about them.

Try 'Hard To Swallow - Live', its download doesn't cost me anything.
I'm giving it away to ALL my blogging buddies, acquaintances, visitors, and my favorite blogs and their readers. I decided that making it 'FREE for a Limited Time' at Lulu is better and easier than having people have to email me for a copy.

Obviously then, FREE for anybody, so go for it guys! Enjoy! Also, if you like it, please feel FREE to send it to your friends too. Let it go viral. Thank you for checking it out!

All real freedom starts with freedom of speech. If there is no freedom of speech, then there can be no real freedom.

USpace also has a post that talks a little about this new book.

I don't get over to USpace's blog (or anybody else's) as often as I would like to.

    Why?

Although the title of this blog is Stop Islamic Conquest, I've gotten to the point where I almost don't really care about militant Islamic extremism.

    Why?

Another friend of mine had this to say about me at a recent post:

Stop islamic conquest Maybe the most prolific blogger in the hemisphere. Seriously well informed and a nice guy too (if he is a guy that is- Yankee Doodle are quite mysterious about his/hers origin.

Keep in mind, Pela is a friend, and this is how much Pela knows about me: "if he is a guy that is- Yankee Doodle are quite mysterious about his/hers origin."

    Why?

The answers to these questions are related.

From Cracking the Case: An Interview With Sibel Edmonds by Scott Horton, August 22, 2005:

SH: I want to get to your appearance on Democracy Now! earlier in the week, referring to officials at the State Department, you used the word "treason." And I wonder whether this is specifically referring to the Sept. 11 attacks and whether you have information that indicates complicity on the part of American elites who are part of these semi-legit organizations that funded Sept. 11, or are we talking seven degrees of Kevin Bacon here?

SE: Again, it's hard to talk about this around the gag order, but this is what I have been saying for the past three years, that's why I refer to the transcript of CBS 60 Minutes. These people who call themselves Americans and these people are using their position, their official position within these agencies -- some of them in the Department of Defense, some of them in the Department of State -- and yet, what they are doing with their position, with their influence is against the United States' national security, it's against the best interests of its people, and that is treason. Be it giving information to those that are either quasi-allies -- and I would underline quasi, who one day will be another al-Qaeda -- and who are already are engaged in activities that are damaging to our country, its security and its interests -- and that is treason. So that's what I was referring to. And what would you call someone who, let's say if they were to go after Douglas Feith, and if they were to establish that Douglas Feith with his access to information, willingly, intentionally used the information he had and gave it to those that would one day use it or maybe right now are using that information against the United States. Would you call that treason?

SH: Well, if it's an overt act to benefit an American enemy then yes, that's treason.

SE: Correct, and I as I said, those lines are so blurry because there are certain countries that we call allies but I wouldn't call them allies, these people are, these countries are, quasi-allies.

Islamic extremism is every bit as much a concern as has been suggested at this blog, and more.

However, the terrorists' efforts would fizzle like a damp firecracker if they didn't have help.

It is that "help" that I am after.

I write extensively about the Sibel Edmonds case, and far, far beyond; Edmonds caught a glimpse of something, but what she saw was merely a snapshot of a very dynamic situation, one which threatens all of humanity.

At first, I began investigating how militant Islam is out to conquer and enslave us, but the far more dangerous threat to us all are those powerful, important people who we think are on our side, but who abuse their position of trust to sell out their country to the highest bidder; they traffic in narcotics and other drugs, arms (including nuclear weapons technology), sex slaves and other contraband; they are treasonous criminals. For them, the law is sometimes an obstacle, sometimes a tool; morality is not even a hurdle.

I found in my email inbox today a link to a website. It is to a site that carries a name which, looking back on things, could have been the name for my blog.

This new site is called Wanted for Treason. I only looked at it a little today, but it looks interesting. Please check it out, and let us know what you think.

Meanwhile, stick around - I'm not done naming names and drawing connections. More Doodle Time coming up - and You Can't Touch This!

We Do This for Allah (and Our Seventy-Two Virgins)

    Shamelessly copied from Highest Infidelity.

We Do This for Allah (and Our Seventy-Two Virgins)

"I have the words of the Prophet!"
    The sheikh began to talk,
    Explaining to us the law,
Saying "In this way you must walk!
    Be good believers,
    And follow these rules,
And in heaven you will have women,
    Great riches, fine jewels."
"Tell us of these heavenly women,"
    We asked of the sheikh,
    "Whose are they? And,
    How many may we take?"
    "Virgins all," he answered;
    "To each seventy-two.
    But only for believers!
Not for kuffar, Christian or Jew.
So live your life as a good Muslim,
    And do not be discouraged.
    Do this now for Allah
    (And your seventy-two virgins)."

We did as the sheikh commanded,
And lived as the Prophet spoke.
    "But more is required,"
Said the sheikh, and I quote:
    "We must spread the word;
    To the nonbelievers do go!
Speak the words of the Prophet,
    That they, too, may know.
But if they should not believe you,
    Do not be discouraged.
    We do this for Allah
    (And our seventy-two virgins)."

    We spoke to the nonbelievers,
    But the infidels did balk!
    They would not hear our words;
In our ways they would not walk.
We told this to the sheikh,
Asking "What now must we do?"
"They will submit to the sword,
    Those kuffar, Christians and Jews!
    And if some should escape,
    Do not be discouraged.
    We do this for Allah
    (And our seventy-two virgins)."

    So off we went,
    And many infidels did heed.
    But the sheikh was not satisfied;
"Of more believers we have need!
    Give them then these choices:
    Convert, submit, or be killed!
    And have ye no fear;
    You do Allah's will.
But if the battle goes to them,
    Do not be discouraged.
    We do this for Allah
    (And our seventy-two virgins)."

    Many infidels submitted,
But others, oh how they fought!
We reported all to the sheikh,
Saying "We did as you taught!"
Enraged he yelled "Go ye now forth,
    And the infidels do slay!
    But spare ye their women!
    With them ye may play....
But if they should smite you,
    Do not be discouraged.
    We do this for Allah
    (And our seventy-two virgins)."

"But if to Islam they convert,
Themselves your brothers they do make.
    Otherwise, slay them,
And what is theirs you may take!
All the world to Allah must come,
    Other religions are hereby banned!
    Those are the orders of the Prophet;
    That is Allah's command!
Do as you have been told,
    And do not be discouraged.
    We do this for Allah
    (And our seventy-two virgins)."

    So off to battle we went;
    The infidels we attacked!
    But the infidels were strong,
    Their armies pushed us back.
    Many brothers did fall;
    The nonbelievers did win.
    Angered, the sheikh said:
"This is because you have sinned!
    Be ye now more faithful,
    And do not be discouraged.
    We do this for Allah
    (And our seventy-two virgins)."

    Again we attacked them,
    But our attack completely failed.
    Our brothers were struck down;
    The infidels prevailed.
    To Allah they sent us
As happy as we could be.
    Although we lost the battle,
    Surely Allah will see
    We did as Allah commanded;
    We did not get discouraged.
We did this all for Allah
    (And our seventy-two virgins).

    Martyred holy warriors,
    In heaven we proudly stood.
    We lived as good Muslims;
We spread the word as we could.
    In holy battle we died;
    Great was our reward!
    We looked for our virgins
    As we were promised before.
    We never turned back,
    Nor were we discouraged.
We did this all for Allah
    (And our seventy-two virgins).

But the virgins were not there
    To us it was explained.
    Instead we were shown more infidels;
We were told to not complain!
    "The infidels martyred your brothers!
Go now and settle the score.
    Do not worry about the virgins;
    I shall bring more.
It matters not how the battle goes,
    So do not be discouraged.
    Do this now for Allah
    (And your seventy-two virgins)."

    So off again we went
    Against the infidels to battle,
    And there we saw something,
And our wits it did rattle!
    There was our holy Prophet
Saying "It was all a great lie!
It was not the angel Gabriel!
I hearkened to the wrong guy!
    He promised us women,
    And taught us to hate!
    I was deceived by his words;
    Now it is too late.
    There are no virgins here;
    Only eternal war.
    All that is before us,
Is to fight, and fight some more!"
    "What did you expect?"
He was answered with a grin,
"That you rape virgins in Heaven,
And kill and plunder to get in?
    Deception is all relative;
And now you are all mine!
So fight and fight some more!
This is how you will pass your time,
    Here with me in eternity,
    Being tormented in this flame,
    Because hate is my motivation,
    And torment is my game!"

At this point we cried mightily,
    And became greatly discouraged.
We had done this all for Allah
    (And our seventy-two virgins).
    But we had been mocked and deceived;
Satan had played us for fools.
    We learned to hate others
And here where we were, hatred is what rules.
    We began to wonder,
"Can our Creator be this cruel?"
Even more loudly did we cry:
"God save us! We are fools!"

    With these words things changed;
A great light we did see.
One like the Son of God appeared,
    Saying "Listen carefully to Me.
    I gave you commands,
But these have not been kept.
    When innocents suffered,
    You should have wept.
    Instead you hated,
And to the depths you did fall.
    But our Father is merciful and kind;
    He truly loves you all.
So another chance you will have,
But you must do as you're now told.
    Love one another;
For love is worth more than gold.
    Much evil you have done,
And much misery you have made.
    Don't worry about that;
Its price I long ago paid."

    "Lies!" from behind us
    Cried an angry voice.
And then the thought struck us:
    We actually had a choice!
    It got deathly quiet
    As we all looked around;
    And, slowly, one by one,
We dropped our swords to the ground.
    Our holy Prophet stepped forward,
Saying to Satan "It is through.
    A terrible mistake I made,
But I knew not it was you.
    Now I see more clearly;
    Now I understand the choice:
    Those who preach hatred
Do not speak with God's voice."

    Satan's anger burned,
As the Prophet spoke to us:
    "Fight the infidels no more;
    Love them you must."
    And to Jesus he turned;
    The Prophet's words I can't forget:
"My men wish to leave this place,
    If you will permit.
    A further request I have,
Take from this place the others.
An important lesson we have learned:
    The infidels are our brothers."
Then to Satan the Prophet spoke:
"A lesson for you: set aside your hate!
    Learn how to love.
    It is never too late."

    The Buck Stops Here

The first three paragraphs and the beginning of the fourth from Do the Right Thing, Right Here, Right Now, posted by Abdur-Rahman Muhammad, April 19, 2008:

As everyone knows by now, I have recently been on a campaign to surgically de-construct the fabrications, deceit, and outright LIES of confessed terrorist fund raiser Sami Al Arian. Truth be told, I have other things to do, and only took up this issue after being challenged to prove a number of assertions I made in the course of exposing the "immigrant Muslim Syndicate". I feel confident that I have done that.

What was most troubling and indeed disconcerting to me in examining that issue was discovering a sense of shock and disbelief, experienced by not a few in the community, that a Muslim would expose the criminality and profound mendacity of one of their own in public. The notion among those who think and feel this way seems to be "protect a Muslim even if he is wrong". This completely erroneous conception of religion only underscores how far we Muslims have strayed from the straight path of Al Islam.

Our religion teaches us to be upright, honest, and most importantly, just. It also teaches us that Muslims are not angels, and can at times even be susceptible to criminality. So yes, Muslims will be found committing murder, slander, theft, fornication and adultery, drug and alcohol abuse, and - in today's world - terrorism, and did so even in the time of the Prophet. So why do we now feign a type of shock and disbelief that a fellow Muslim in good conscience decided to stand for what he believed to be right?

Has it now become a tenet of our religion that however outrageous and repugnant the offense, a Muslim is to keep his mouth shut it happens to be committed by another Muslim? Carrying that twisted logic further still, it is then argued that "Islam and the Muslims would be harmed" by reporting or commenting on the crimes of the disreputable members (criminals) of our community, and that remaining quiet in the face of wrong constitutes some type "Islamic unity".

That's my rationale for reporting at my blog on the crimes of "fellow" Republicans President George W. Bush, Vice President Dick Cheney, Senator John McCain, and others, in addition to reporting on the crimes of Democrats like Hillary Clinton, Joseph Biden, Henry Waxman, and the rest.

Implicit in this is that I will report on the crimes of "fellow" Americans, and that includes the charade of this War on Terror, the other forgotten charade of the War on Drugs, the cover-ups associated with 9/11 and other incidents, and the profiteering going on in Iraq and elsewhere.

The vast majority of our armed forces (and many of our civilian contractors) serve honorably and well; they risk, and too often lose, life and limb in defense of this great country of ours. To see them sent repeatedly into Iraq, but not allowed to win against the guys who started all this (bin Laden & Co., many in Saudi Arabia, and so on) because our political leaders are in bed with organized crime and with those who support terrorism is an outrage.

Ronald Reagan's Eleventh Commandment gets trumped by the example set by our nation's first Republican President, "Honest Abe" Lincoln.

America is the land of George Washington, the father of our country, who was elected to the Presidency because of his character, and to hear people say that character does not count, that someone like Bill Clinton is "ethical enough to be President", or that I should not point out the crimes of the current administration because Bush and Cheney call themselves Republicans, is offensive.

I've been called a "truther" and I've been called worse, but I would rather be alone than be in bad company.

To you treasonous criminals in Washington, DC: you know who you are, and I know you read my blog. You are on notice. I discover criminal conduct, I expose it here at my blog -- and I will not stop before indictments are issued.

    The buck stops here.

Abdur-Rahman Muhammad on WURD/900 AM This Saturday Evening

A message from a fellow blogger:

I will be a guest for one hour on the Living Islam program on WURD 900 am out of Philadelphia, Pa on Saturday March 22, 2008. The show, hosted by brother Amin Nathari, airs from 5:00 PM to 6:00PM EST and can be accessed on-line at www.900amwurd.com.

Everything will be on the table,

    1) The failure of leadership
    2) The Immigrant Muslim Syndicate
    3) My series "Why Blackamerican Muslims Don't Stand for Justice"
    4) My views on Muslim extremism

    Abdur-Rahman Muhammad
    Singular Voice
    singularvoice.wordpress.com

Abdur-Rahman Muhammad addresses this in a post entitled I’ll Be On The Radio (Inshallah).

The next post is interesting. It is called These People are SICK, and begins:

More proof that these monsters have nothing to do with us and our religion. Why do these beasts continue to do such things? These creatures WANT people to see people suffer so they kill aid workers. And some of you wonder why I do not like these people...

    __________

I am redoing my sidebar links, and don't really know how to do it, or how to link to these Muslim blogs.

Originally, I had an "us-vs.-them" mentality, and had infidel bloggers -- to a certain extent, think-alikes on the issue of militant Islam -- in one list, and Muslim websites in another.

I added in a category for "Islam as Seen by Apostates and Infidels". Then, I put Tariq Nelson's blog there, but that was not right; Tariq Nelson is neither an apostate nor an infidel. So, I changed it: "Islam as Seen by Apostates, Infidels and Enemies of the Khawarij" -- better, but still no cigar.

Putting Abdur-Rahman Muhammad and Tariq Nelson in a separate category seems like surrendering Islam to the nutters and cutthroats (although most of the sites I link to about Islam do not advocate extremism).

How do I do this? Do I link all blogs, regardless of their viewpoint, in one list? Do I attempt to differentiate those of us who condemn extremism from sites that do not seem to condemn it? What are your thoughts on this?

    Not Again

    Some quotes...

From the comments to my previous post (I corrected one typo):

    anticant said...

Wickedness and moral depravity remain what they are, whatever religious, ideological, or nationalistic garments they wear.

These hate-filled "opponents" have more in common with each other than with the vast majority of decent peace-loving people of all races and creeds around the globe who only wish for a better life for themselves and everyone else.

The key question for our age is: how do we prevent vicious power-hungry morally corrupt minorities from manipulating far larger, well-meaning majorities? We have got to stop small tails wagging big dogs!

    March 15, 2008 3:41 AM

    Yankee Doodle said...

Yeah, Anti, but nothing gives a small tail leverage like money.

And drugs really bring in money.

Of course, forced prostitution works even better -- smuggling the woman only happens once, unlike drugs where you have to keep bringing it in and keep running risks. And, since she doesn't get paid, the sex slave becomes a cash cow. The cash gets reinvested in trafficking heroin to the New World, cocaine to Europe, and pretty soon you have an empire.

And whores in Washington are only too quick to sell out the girls who are being exploited, the people whose lives are ruined by drugs, the communities torn up by the street crime the drugs bring, and the security of the nation whose Constitution they have taken an oath to uphold -- all for some campaign contributions, some soft money, and a few bribes.

Before I quote the next line from that comment, I would like to quote some other things, starting with this from Aces and Eights:

When playing poker in a saloon, Wild Bill Hickok always sat with his back to the corner to protect himself from a sneak attack. On the day in question, he entered Nuttal & Mann's Saloon No. 10 in Deadwood, and sat down to play poker; unfortunately, the only seat he could find left his back to the door. Jack McCall shot him in the back of the head with a .45 revolver.

What constitutes a good hand in poker depends on what kind of poker one is playing, whether there is a draw or not, whether the draw has already occurred, whether or not there are wild cards, and so on. Perhaps more than that, however, it depends on the player.

The attacks already perpetrated by narcotrafficking Khawarij terrorists not just on America but on much of the rest of the world as well, and the threat of more to come, are bad enough.

Worse than those attacks, though, is the fact that America now faces this threat with a gun to its back, held there by criminals in the business world and in government who see siding with the terrorists to be more in their interests than siding with their own country. Abusing their power, their priveleges, and even their humanity, these criminals walk the streets, taking everything in through the eyes of a psychotic hunter.

In times past, the law was based on faith, love and Judeo-Christian ethics, and it was about justice; the law was the good person's treasure, and the bad person's refuge. Increasingly, however, the law is no longer a means to an end, justice, but rather has become an end in and of itself.

Even more grotesquely, the law has been perverted into a tool of evil, oppressing the good person, while justifying the bad person; the good people are caught in the middle, with terrorists and narcotraffickers on one side, and criminals in big government and in big business on the other.

The Orwellian irony is that while America is under attack by enemies both foreign and domestic, American law is now used to silence those who would defend her.

It is the hour of the wolf.

Unlike Wild Bill Hickok, who had his back to the door when he wanted to be in the corner, American people who dare to question what our government is doing -- a questioning which is their duty in our system of government -- are being forced into a corner, defensive and persecuted, yet still clinging to the idea that they have rights. More and more, they must feel as if they are hanging on to nothing.

The time has come for decent people to finally break out of that corner, and tell the corrupt elites and their terrorist allies how things will be, which is nothing else than the way things should have been all along.

The connection among the decent people in this country and around the world goes far beyond the wires that carry the signals among computers, now used for communication to bypass the mainstream media, which long ago made itself irrelevant in this battle. The connection goes even beyond the blood of the victims of terrorism, drug-trafficking and the white-collar crime that enables and facilitates it all -- blood which cries out for justice. Decent Americans, and other decent people around the world, are connected by destiny.

    Some things seem certain:

    1) The terrorists and narcotraffickers are a threat to America and to everyone else;

    2) A greater threat to the whole world are the criminals in America's business and government elites who side with the terrorists, because without those criminals, the terrorists and narcotraffickers would have a much weaker hand to play;

    3) America is a better player than her enemies think;

    and

    4) The game is not over yet.

One comment at The Twilight Zone, Part 1 reads:

The Media is silent, probably because it's shit scared - along with Governments, Corporates and Individuals.

You have done a service to humanity, YD, but now humanity has to act - in the interests of its survival.

And that's the problem...humanity (aka 'We The People) are shit scared too.

Courage does not mean 'No Fear'...

To which I would add the following quotes of the great American actor and patriot, John Wayne:

"Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway."

    and

"All battles are fought by scared men
who'd rather be some place else."

    "High Explosive"

I'm going over literally thousands of pages of documents.

Consequently, I thought today might be a good day to take a slight break from writing posts, and give myself and my readers time to catch up.

So, here are some of the perhaps more "interesting" posts from recent days. They are linked in order, and if you read them in order, they will paint a picture for you. Some excerpts are included as teasers.

I have also included excerpts from some of the few comments that have been left at the posts. (Please let me know if you think I took something out of context.)

    Next Stop: Twilight Zone

If Fitzgerald and his team keep pulling, really pulling, they are going to reel in much more than just a few guys spying for Israel.

    [snip]

But I can tell you there are a lot of people involved, a lot of ranking officials, and a lot of illegal activities that include multi-billion-dollar drug-smuggling operations, black-market nuclear sales to terrorists and unsavory regimes, you name it. And of course a lot of people from abroad are involved. It's massive. So to do this investigation, to really do it, they will have to look into everything.

    The Twilight Zone, Part 1

The War on Terror is a charade: scratch it once, it comes up Big Oil; scratch it twice, it comes up Big Heroin.

Furthermore, there's profiteering going on -- big government contracts to provide various services -- feeding the troops, providing security guards for important facilities, rebuilding wartorn countries...

    [snip]

Congress has been compromised, the FBI has been infiltrated, and the Executive Branch is in bed with Big Oil and the war profiteers -- except for strategically placed officials who are on the payroll of heroin traffickers.

    The Twilight Zone, Part 2

Lured by the possibility of power-sharing in a new government after elections, her way carpeted by an offer of amnesty for outstanding corruption charges, Benazir Bhutto ran the substantial risk of returning to Pakistan in order to campaign for the planned elections.

    [snip]

It is obvious now that she was set up all along, enticed by the fragrant bait of involvement in an election, and targeted for elimination in such a way as to maintain plausible deniability for the people pulling the strings of her assassination.

    The Twilight Zone, Part 3

Mostly heroin money... laundered in stock trades pushed through the computers in the WTC during the attack...

    [snip]

And when the bad guys were done, they imploded the Twin Towers and WTC-7 to cover their trail.

    Smuggler's Blues, Part 1

But as for the politicians, what I can say is that when you start talking about huge amounts of money, certain elected officials become automatically involved. And there are different kinds of campaign contributions - legal and illegal, declared and undeclared.

    [snip]

"We have talked about these problems and this increase," said M. Ashraf Haidari, the first secretary of the Afghan Embassy in Washington. "It's logical that where there is demand there is a supply. Drugs from Afghanistan are making their way to the United States."

    Smuggler's Blues, Part 2

Everything – from drugs to money laundering to arms sales. And yes, there are certain convergences with all these activities and international terrorism.

    [snip]

The caption accompanying the above photo says McCain was in New York doing some fundraising, and it is fair to ask: how much money did he get from the Albanian lobby? As the great "reform" candidate who denounces the influence of "special interests" and the power of money in politics, McCain had better tell us exactly how much the Albanian lobby has thrown his way – and to what effect. Of all the lobbyists in Washington, it is the "special interests" represented by the agents of foreign powers that pose the greatest threat to the integrity of the Presidency.

    [snip]

There they are, the two of them, DioGuardi and McCain, side by side: one who would carve an Albanian empire in the midst of the blood-soaked Balkans, and the other who would be President of the United States. It is a disturbing juxtaposition, to say the very least.

Digging It Up, Part 2 of 2

    (Continued from Part 1)

Some other posts that are somewhat related, but which address the situation in the Balkans, include the following series, State Capture, Part 1 of 3, State Capture, Part 2 of 3, and State Capture, Part 3 of 3, in which we detail how the US government (both the Clinton Administration and the Bush-43 Administration) has been actively assisting the establishment of a failed state in the Balkans -- Kosovo. In violation of international law, and backing up their policies through military force and the threat thereof, the US government has dismembered Yugoslavia, and in its former territory established states essentially run by organized crime and Islamic terrorists. I end Part 3, with the following:

    Why?

Did they not see this coming?

As demonstrated in this series of posts, everyone else has been able to see this developing.

What interests did Clinton then and does Bush now have to want to promote the establishment of a state run by terrorists and narcotics- and human-traffickers in the heart of the Balkans?

Aurora makes the following comment in response:

Yankee, it certainly is a cesspool you've uncovered here. Nice investigative and detailed analysis. In answer to your question, I would say the interest is in keeping the area unstable so that a power vacuum is maintained and this is just one more place crying out for centralized interventionist government down the track. Much like the lawless mess that exists in Africa and was, perhaps, either orchestrated or encouraged by western countries.

Elsewhere in Asia, I review another of Tamara Makarenko's papers in an as-yet unfinished series, The Central Asian Nexus, Part 1 and The Central Asian Nexus, Part 2.

    __________

    March 23 Update:

Shortly after I did this post, I realized that I had indeed finished that series:

The Central Asian Nexus, Part 3
The Central Asian Nexus, Part 4
The Central Asian Nexus, Part 5

    :)

    __________

At the end of Part 1, Aurora makes the following comment.

Yankee, this is a serious indictment against the very top rungs of the U.S. Government. It's almost a sickening thought to countenance that American officials would be mixed up in the heroin trade. The more I read, the more the whole structure seems rotten at the core.

Some of Part 1 and Part 2 has now been translated into Spanish (Part 1, Part 2) by Nora at Spanish Pundit.

In another series, Patriot Games: The Nexus (Part 1) sets the stage for Patriot Games: The Nexus (Part 2), in which I discuss the fact that the Sibel Edmonds case is about evidence linking Dennis Hastert to the Turkish Deep State: Hastert received bribes from Turkish organized crime figures. Debbie from Right Truth commented:

If this wasn't posted by YOU, I would think it was complete bunk, some nutjob's conspiracy theory. But I respect your writing and views. This is very heavy stuff. Hastert? I need to do some reading on this.

    Debbie
    http://www.righttruth.typepad.com

The series continues with Patriot Games: No Quarter, where I conclude with the following question:

What does Sibel Edmonds know -- what did she see in those FBI documents and within the FBI -- that got confirmed by all these officials (including two United States Senators) who looked into it, that got investigated by the Justice Department Inspector General, but that everyone is now shutting up about?

The series continues with Patriot Games: Deep State Secrets, where we examine the link of the Sibel Edmonds case between Turkish organized crime and the arms industry, between corruption in the US government and narcotraffickers, and so on; I make the following statements:

In an effort to stymie Islamic extremists, the US Government sides with secular Turks. But, the secular Turks are involved in narcotics trafficking, so the US Government tolerates some heroin as being the lesser of two evils, so much more so, since some of the heroin money is finding its way into the hands of those advisors who are recommending this course of action.

But, it turns out that Al Qaeda also traffics heroin, and has business ties with these secular Turkish mafiosos that override the ideological ties between bin Laden and Turkish think-alikes.

Consequently, those making US policy regarding Turkey -- and other nations in Central and Southwestern Asia -- are drinking from the same trough as the terrorists.

    [snip]

Horrific indeed. The mafiosos who are pulling the strings of those who make US policy are not only connected via business dealings to the terrorists that threaten America, but also have major interests in the arms industry.

A "War on Terror", a war which has no end in sight, a war unlike any other, a war that will last for our lifetime, is made to order: the mafiosos benefit from the arms transactions, and the war provides cover for the narcotics trafficking. Moreover, since the enemy is terrorism, any War on Drugs takes a back seat to the War on Terror; a conscious decision is made and justified in Washington to leave the poppy fields in Afghanistan intact, so as not to alienate the Afghani people who cultivate them, in an effort to win their hearts and minds.

(My apologies -- that should read Afghan people.)

To which Pela68 of Gummihund commented:

    Aaaaah!
You are really on the track here! Turkey- a NATO member! And soon to be incorporated within the EU...

    And Aurora added:

This is quite a disturbing post, Yankee. I believe you're spot on about Turkey as well. It's a nicely facaded bubbling witches brew that I think is going to explode sooner or later.
Your prediction that the 'war on terror' will last a lifetime. Do you really think so? You could be right, though I imagined just a year or so. Actually I see a rapid escalation in the not too distant future.

Another post that is related is Excerpts of DOJ/OIG Report on the Sibel Edmonds Case alluded to above, where I point out the complaints Edmonds makes to authorities, quoting from official reports on the espionage she discovered, and conclude:

But the well-founded -- and corroborated -- concern about espionage was swept under the rug.

There you have it, in the words of the Department of Justice, Office of the Inspector General.

Go read the report for yourself.

Finally, the Patriot Games series continued with two more posts, Patriot Games: Sex Slaves, Guns, Drugs and Bribes (Part 1 of 2) and Patriot Games: Sex Slaves, Guns, Drugs and Bribes (Part 2 of 2). At the end of Part 2 Aurora commented:

Yankee, these are excellent exposes. I wonder if you'd consider writing a summary of the Balkans one to post on TMS and link back here to your longer post?

Phoenix, Part 1 was the first of a series about 9/11 and a label that includes the Information Dominance series about nuclear proliferation and espionage involving no less than Condoleezza Rice (see sidebar). As Pela said there: "Hmmm. As we say in Sweden. There seems to be a a dog buried here (something like 'it smells fishy')!"

Yes, indeed, Pela -- and I'm digging it up!

Posts like this one, the main point of which is to summarize and provide links to the other posts, will now be under a new label: Index.

    Cheers, my friends!

Digging It Up, Part 1 of 2

Why are some of my posts listed in the sidebar as "important"?

In the series Sibelology, Part 1 of 2, Sibelology, Part 2 of 2, and Sibelology, Part 3 of 2, we review an article entitled Did Speaker Hastert Accept Turkish Bribes to Deny Armenian Genocide and Approve Weapons Sales? We use the review of the article to learn about the Sibel Edmonds case, and to move in the direction of finding some answers to the enigmatic questions it poses.

At the end of Part 3, Aurora of The Midnight Sun makes the following comment:

Yankee, you certainly have an intriguing writing style. A long, twisting story with plenty of intrigue. It's a pity that it's based on fact and your research seems to be very well conducted. Unfortunately, I have to agree that there is a dark band of corruption running through institutions that we've always trusted.

In this series, The Shadow Realm, Part 1, The Shadow Realm, Part 2, The Shadow Realm, Part 3, The Shadow Realm, Part 4, The Shadow Realm, Part 5, The Shadow Realm, Part 6, and The Shadow Realm, Part 7, we review a work of Tamara Makarenko entitled The Crime–Terror Continuum: Tracing the Interplay between Transnational Organised Crime and Terrorism, making connections to the Sibel Edmonds case, especially to the posts cited above.

At the end of Part 2, the blogger Anticant of Anticant's Arena makes the following comment:

Your detailed researches are fleshing out what I have feared since the collapse of the Soviet Union - infiltration and ultimate takeover of the government machine of failed states by the international mafia.

Could this happen even in the USA? And could it be that this, rather than militant Islam, is the biggest ultimate threat to world peace and security?

Perhaps the answer can be found in the final paragraphs of Part 7:

Certain elements in the Islamic world have always had the desire to spread their ideology violently, offering humanity the infamous triple choice: conversion to Islam, submission to Islamic government under dhimmi status, or war of annihilation. In recent decades, the United States has become a focus for their hatred.

In 1993, these people attacked the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center. The method they used was a large amount explosives, an omnidirectional blast. It was a relative fizzle, as it achieved little compared to what could have been achieved with that quantity of explosives.

Determined to try again, these radicals conceived the idea of hijacking airliners and crashing them into the Twin Towers, among other targets. The new attack was much more spectacular, and would cause more damage....

But, when two of the very tallest buildings ever constructed were being engineered and designed, it was known then that sooner or later an airliner full of fuel would crash into them -- this was not a possibility, it was an inevitability. Consequently, both of the Twin Towers had to be designed for such an eventuality. They were not just engineered to withstand the impact of a large airliner full of fuel -- they were overengineered for such an event, known to be inescapable at some point. There would be a horrendous fire, and perhaps a terrible loss of life, but the buildings would remain standing. In fact, each tower would be able to withstand multiple such impacts, and remain standing -- that is how they were engineered and constructed. Yet, on 9/11, not just one, but both towers were brought down by the impact of one airliner each. Not only that, but a third tower that wasn't even struck collapsed that day.

    Why?

(For information on this last paragraph and the next, see You Can't Touch This.)

In the wake of the first attempt on the World Trade Center, blueprints for certain US skyscrapers went to the Middle East, and the FBI eventually heard of this. The FBI also heard that terrorists were planning to crash airliners into tall buildings in the US -- all before 9/11. Law enforcement and the US intelligence community did nothing; the information was suppressed, and not allowed to flow freely throughout the US government agencies that could have done something.

    Why?

This latter issue is what the Sibel Edmonds case is about.

Six years after 9/11, we are in the midst of this War on Terror, with our military being spent in its fourth year of occupation of Iraq, a nation that had no connection to the events on 9/11 which spawned the war. Meanwhile, the culprit behind the hijackings, Osama bin Laden, is still at large. (It is worth recalling in contrast that less than four years after Pearl Harbor, the culprits behind that attack and their allies around the world had been defeated, having surrendered unconditionally.) On top of it all, those who have business ties with Osama bin Laden are considered our allies in the War on Terror; indeed, the United States supports a military dictator who seized power in a coup, and whose military intelligence helped bin Laden in the attacks on 9/11, the results of which we know were outside the capabilities of bin Laden's terrorist network.

    Why?

We stand on a planet, not comprehending what we see -- not believing our eyes, because of the magnitude of the object we behold. The horizon fades off into the distance in this flat world of ours, because the orb upon which we stand is in reality round.

We stand in the midst of a War on Terror, not realizing that powerful forces share common interests in generating and then perpetuating the instability, death and destruction around us. This War on Terror is not flat: it is a continuous surface, where all points on it can be reached from all other points by going in any direction.

The War on Terror is a separate world, and it exists in the Shadow Realm.

This is a story that winds its way through remote areas of Pakistan, as we explore Pakistan's religious schools in Pakistan's Madrassas, Part 1, Pakistan's Madrassas, Part 2 and Pakistan's Madrassas, Part 3, where we conclude with the following:

Considering his ties through the military to the madrassas and the mujahideen training centers associated with them, neither is it surprising that now Musharraf seems unable to drive the Taliban out of Pakistan, nor does he seem able to find Osama bin Laden in the border area, nor will he allow US forces to go in and get bin Laden.

We now have to view the assassination of Benazir Bhutto in this light. She was killed in a complex operation near Rawalpindi, which is home to some of Pakistan's most sensitive government installations, including both military and nuclear facilities -- an area where, presumably, security would be pretty high. Rawalpindi has served as the headquarters for Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence, an organization that has the expertise and resources to have organized her assassination. Bhutto's assassination was blamed on militants, whose training occurs in camps tied to Pakistan's ISI.

Were people taking orders from Musharraf when "Kashmiri militants" crossed the Line of Control in 1999? Were the Pakistani armed forces taking orders from Musharraf when they prepared nuclear weapons for use against India as the crisis escalated?

General Mahmoud Ahmad was the corps commander at Rawalpindi at the time of the coup ousting Sharif and leaving Musharraf in power. He then became head of Pakistan's ISI, and was in the United States on 9/11. General Mahmoud Ahmad was linked to a substantial funding transfer to the 9/11 terrorists prior to the attack. General Mahmoud Ahmad opposed the US invasion of Afghanistan, arguing that the Taliban -- which some elements in Pakistan had helped create -- were better for Pakistan.

Was General Mahmoud Ahmad, corps commander for Rawalpindi and later chief of Pakistan's ISI, following or disobeying orders from Musharraf when all this happened?

We are told that we must support Pakistan's "President" Pervez Musharraf, lest hardliners seize power if Musharraf's government should fall.

What we are not told is that the hardliners take orders from Musharraf, and have been doing so for years.

From a PBS INTELLIGENCE INVESTIGATION in the wake of the 9/11 attacks:

MARGARET WARNER: We turn now to, we hope two long-term intelligence experts. With me here James Woolsey, who was Director of Central Intelligence during the Clinton administration....

    [snip]

JAMES WOOLSEY: ... And this time this administration, I hope and trust, will not brush aside the idea that there might be state involvement. We may well find that Osama bin Laden or some other terrorist group in the Mideast or elsewhere, probably the Mideast, is behind this. But they may well be a subcontractor or a junior partner. There conceivably could be a state behind this. Iran is possible. But I think we should focus very hard on the possibility of state backing.

    A Butt Light

    Found at Pela's blog:

A man went into the proctologist's office for his first exam.

The doctor told him to have a seat in the well air-conditioned examination room and that he would be with him in just a few minutes.

When the man sat down in the examination room, he noticed that there were three items on a stand next to the doctor's desk: a tube of K-Y jelly, a rubber glove, and a beer.

When the doctor came in, the man said, "Look Doc, this is my first exam. I know what the K-Y is for, and I know what the glove is for, but what's the beer for?"

At that instant, the doctor became noticeably outraged and stormed over to the door.

The doc flung the door open and yelled to his nurse, "Dammit, nurse! I said a butt light!"

    Hat tip: Flanders Fields.
