Boiling Water

In an article at FrontPageMag.com entitled Salt Lake Jihad?, author Robert Spencer, who has an incredibly good handle on Islam, addresses the recent shootings in Salt Lake City. It's a good article; he's a good author.

In the article, Spencer then addresses other events that we are told by authorities are unrelated, but which he and we all know really are related.

Here is a list of events from his article, key to my post:

  • On January 31, Ismail Yassin Mohamed, 22, stole a car in Minneapolis. He went on a rampage, ramming the stolen car into other cars and then stealing a van and continuing to ram other cars, injuring one person. His father told officials that Mohamed was suffering from mental problems; his mother added he had been depressed and hadn’t been taking his medication. During his rampage, Mohamed repeatedly yelled, “Die, die, die, kill, kill, kill,” and when asked why he did all this, he replied, “Allah made me do it.”
  • Omeed Aziz Popal, a Muslim from Afghanistan, who killed one person and injured fourteen during a murderous drive through San Francisco city streets in August 2006, during which he targeted people on crosswalks and sidewalks, identified himself as a terrorist after his rampage, according to Rob Roth of San Francisco’s KTVU. Later the murders were ascribed to Popal’s mental problems, and to stress arising from his impending arranged marriage.
  • On July 28, 2006, a Muslim named Naveed Afzal Haq forced his way into the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle. Once inside, Haq announced, “I’m a Muslim American; I’m angry at Israel,” and then began shooting, killing one woman and injuring five more. FBI assistant special agent David Gomez stated: “We believe...it’s a lone individual acting out his antagonism. There’s nothing to indicate that it’s terrorism-related. But we're monitoring the entire situation.”
  • In March 2006, a twenty-two-year-old Iranian student named Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar drove an SUV onto the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, deliberately trying to kill people and succeeding in injuring nine. After the incident, he seemed singularly pleased with himself, smiling and waving to crowds after a court appearance on Monday, at which he explained that he was “thankful for the opportunity to spread the will of Allah.” Officials here again dismissed the possibility of terrorism, even after Taheri-azar wrote a series of letters to the UNC campus newspaper detailing the Qur’anic justification for warfare against unbelievers, and explaining why he believed his attacks were justified from an Islamic perspective.

Here's my take on what's happening:

Radical Islam -- mostly Wahhabism, born and raised in what is now Saudi Arabia, and being promoted and funded generously by the Saudis, including by the Saudi royal family -- is spreading into the Free World.

Much of this violence we are now seeing is not centrally-planned, as if a sheikh were to sit down with some young Muslims and tell one group to go rape women, another group to go burn cars, and a third group to go vandalize buildings and knife artists. It is instead centrally-instigated, from the Islamic Univeristy in Medina and other places, many of them elsewhere in Saudi Arabia. It is then spread around to the rest of the world.

As the hatred gets preached in more and more places, and as Islamic communities get more and more indoctrinated to the hatred, and as there is more and more incitement to violence and terrorism, we are starting to see people doing as they are being told in the mosques; the instigation is resulting in violence, because religious leaders are saying it is the right thing to do.

The ardent calls for jihad in the mosques are sending young firebrand Muslims out into the streets of the peaceful and unsuspecting societies that host the mosques. The jihadi-wannabes then victimize the people around them in these societies.

Society is like a pot of water. The mosques are heat sources -- and many of them are red-hot, even white-hot. As the mosques send their hateful hotheads out into the community, the water of society gets hotter.

In many communities in Europe, the water is at a rolling boil.

In communities in America, we now see that it is starting to boil.

And trying to predict where the next violent act is going to occur is like trying to predict where the next bubble will form in boiling water; we cannot guarantee its location.

The one thing I can guarantee is this: much of it can be traced back to a mosque, and from there, a connection can be made to a foreign country -- typically, Saudi Arabia.

I was surfing through some links this morning, checking the news (and adding in links to my blog) and I found this: Relatives of killer: 1997 Empire State shooting was revenge for U.S. support for Israel. It just goes along with what you were saying in your post.

The madrassas' of the Islam area are even worse (I sometimes think) than the madrassas' conducted by our own media. Anti-Americanism is the gospel for those media in Pakistan and the ones in Europe, and more so from American media. Until the tyranny of media anti-Americanism is ended, we will continue to suffer. The propaganda has gone on for too long.

Thanks, everyone.

The media actually are hurting themselves more than anything else. By not telling the truth, they are making themselves irrelevant. Once they are irrelevant, they will be out of a job.

Intellectual dishonesty is like narcotics -- you may feel good for a while, but in the long run, it's deadly.

Speaking the truth these days may cost us our jobs or even our lives, but agreeing with lies costs us our very souls.

Thus, the propaganda war they wage is against themselves....
